Wow

Okay, so I guess a lot of people I know have blogs! Amazing! Good thing they're all following one of my friends that had a blog and now I can find theirs through that, hahah. Which is maybe kind of weird but whatever, I think that's probably how one or two of my followers found my blog.

Also, now that I'm actually using Tumblr, I'm realizing that it's setup is so much nicer than Blogger. I really like that I just open it up and it shows me all the updates from people that I follow, as well as my own updates, rather than me having to go through to each little blog link.

Of course, there's probably a better way for me to go about viewing things on Blogger, I just don't know about it. If anyone's got any info, please enlighten me. Okay, actually I found it already.
But Tumblr's is still better.

So, on DeviantArt I'm following the mom of one of my favorite artists (it's not as weird as it sounds, she pointed me to her gallery!).

Her mom isn't a painter like she is, but she has this incredible flower garden and this incredible talent for taking photos of this incredible flower garden and everything about her gallery is simply incredible.

I love flowers so much. This gallery is so awesome.

She's also a really nice lady and so that adds to the fun in following her.

Tumblr

Anyone have a Tumblr?

I've had one for a while, but so far I've only used it to follow other people's Tumblrs.

However, today that changed. :0 I posted on there for the very first time. It was just some half done sketch but I still like the sketch, and am excited that I actually posted something. xD

I'm kind of imagining Tumblr will turn into the place where I post all my mushy sketches because I have a lot of those that I never finish. It seems like a good place for them.

Well, uh, yeah.

Yeah, so basically I am not a very honest blogger. I promise blogs and a month later I'm like, "lol, what was that? No I didn't."

But I'm sitting here listening to the LOTR musical and wishing Jenth would post on Nyocia and wondering if I should go to work today because it rained last night so Grandpa's garden is going to be all muddy and not very workable.

I think I'll probably wait until this evening on that one, since I really can't get anything done in a muddy clay garden. I've tried before.

But I just thought I'd notify you that I move out in a week (+two days) and start classes at BYU in two weeks.

Holy flipperpants.

I am so excited.

I still need to finish up cleaning up my room, but basically I just have to find some boxes to fit all my Breyer horses in (Mom says I'm to keep those, lol), get all those boxes of DI stuff to DI, and dump out the contents of my drawers into my suitcase or the garbage can, depending on which drawer. Oh, and put all the books I'm keeping back onto the shelf. But that's not hard stuff! I'm almost ready to go!

Also, I guess I'll point out that I update my Journal on DeviantArt a lot more often than I update this. While updates there will often have art related stuff in them, they also often don't and are pretty bloglike.

So that might be a better place to check than here. I dunno. We'll see if I get in the habit of blogging again or something, but I probably won't.

Yeah so that song challenge thing...

It didn't work out. Too many requests for songs I don't like, and I finally reached the point of "why even...?"

I don't like going out of my way to find stuff I don't like. Goes against the grain.

Anyway, so I'm not finishing that.

However, I do have stuff to write about, which I've been holding off on because I feel bad about not finishing that challenge.

Well, too bad for those songs. I've got better stuff to talk about.

Going to Lagoon tomorrow, so I'm sure to have an adventure to write about on Saturday. :D

Sorry, I could list one but it's not really going to be any different from the stuff I've already listed. I don't have specific songs for specific emotions, I just listen to music. Same music, all the time, no matter the situation.

30 Day Song Challenge Catch-up Day

Wow, 6 days. I've got some catching up to do.

It was Day 15 that got me. A song that describes me? Uh... yeah, can't think of one. I've been trying for nearly a week now. I've just got to skip that for now. Suggestions are welcome.

Day 16 - A Song that you Used to Love but Now Hate

Yeah... don't know about that one either. The music I've listened to throughout my life has remained pretty limited, and changed very little, if at all. Skippity skip.

I don't listen to the radio much, but I can certainly answer this. Because every time I turn on the radio... it's this:

Why isn't there a Disney music station on the radio?

Oh, there is?

Are you sure?

Okay, I mean a Disney Princess Movie music station. A station that plays purely music from Disney animated movies (and includes Enchanted P:). No Jonas Brothers, no Hannah Montana, no other random Disney Channel whatever-I-don't-want-to-hear-you-singers, no popular singers from other genres.

Just Disney movie music.

That would be a Disney music station. We don't have one. I want one.


Day 19 - A Song from your Favorite Album

Let's hear some more Martina McBride. I don't necessarily have a favorite album- from her or other groups- but I do love her music to death, and this song is probably my top favorite by her.




Day 20 - A Song that you Listen to When you’re Angry

Also a toughie, since I'm rarely angry, and when I am, it's at a time that I have no access to music.

But when anger and music availability do coincide, I generally listen to very soothing songs. Usually I listen to Celtic Women, but since I've been really enjoying a different song lately, and it fits the sort of music I listen to when I'm mad, I'll post it:

Day 13: A Song that is a Guilty Pleasure

This isn't so much a song as a genre. Missa introduced me to it, and I fell in love incredibly quickly. What is it?





Contemporary opera.

Amici Forever is an incredible group, and gave me a new respect for opera music. While I've always been fond of classical, there's something about opera that just requires making fun of. But man, are the people in it amazing despite.

Amici calls themselves "the opera band", and it's a really enjoyable form of opera. I highly recommend them.
