So, you remember my blog a month or two ago about how my DS had broken, and so I'd gone on an epic search for a tri-wing screwdriver (found out what they're called... xD), finally bought on on Ebay, and weird things were happening?
Well, it being May 15 and my having not gotten the screwdriver yet, I had pretty much given up on ever getting it. But today in the mail... there is was! 8D
So I rushed down to my room and completed the dismantling of my DS. There was some gunk on the motherboard, so I cleaned that up and then put it back together. I tried turning it on again, but it's still suffering the same problem.
The Internet was, of course, the place to go. I Googled how to fix a DS lite, found a site showing fixes on all sorts of different problems, and found one that exactly fitted the description of my DS' issues.
Apparently, the poor thing had blown a fuse. To fix it, of course I'd need a replacement fuse.
Back to Ebay then. I found a set of fuses with a few bonus items to also help with the fix for $2 and free shipping, so I was like, "BAM!" and bought it. The fix itself, according to the fix-it site I was looking at, doesn't look too complicated. You just remove the bad fuse and plop in a good one. :P Soon, I shall have two working DS lites. In case you doubt me, look at the site: DS fix-it site. I like how it's name is Console Zombie... especially since May is Zombie Awareness Month. xD
I feel all technological and amazing. *dances*
