Day 21: A Song you listen to when you're Happy
Any of the songs listed thus far.
That was easy. :D
Sorry, I could list one but it's not really going to be any different from the stuff I've already listed. I don't have specific songs for specific emotions, I just listen to music. Same music, all the time, no matter the situation.

30 Day Song Challenge Catch-up Day
Wow, 6 days. I've got some catching up to do.
It was Day 15 that got me. A song that describes me? Uh... yeah, can't think of one. I've been trying for nearly a week now. I've just got to skip that for now. Suggestions are welcome.
As for the other 5 days:
Day 16 - A Song that you Used to Love but Now Hate
Yeah... don't know about that one either. The music I've listened to throughout my life has remained pretty limited, and changed very little, if at all. Skippity skip.
Day 17 - A Song that you Hear Often on the Radio
I don't listen to the radio much, but I can certainly answer this. Because every time I turn on the radio... it's this:
Day 18 - A Song that you Wish you Heard on the Radio
Oh geez, so many. How about this?
Why isn't there a Disney music station on the radio?
Oh, there is?
Are you sure?
Okay, I mean a Disney Princess Movie music station. A station that plays purely music from Disney animated movies (and includes Enchanted P:). No Jonas Brothers, no Hannah Montana, no other random Disney Channel whatever-I-don't-want-to-hear-you-singers, no popular singers from other genres.
Just Disney movie music.
That would be a Disney music station. We don't have one. I want one.
Day 19 - A Song from your Favorite Album
Let's hear some more Martina McBride. I don't necessarily have a favorite album- from her or other groups- but I do love her music to death, and this song is probably my top favorite by her.
Day 20 - A Song that you Listen to When you’re Angry
Also a toughie, since I'm rarely angry, and when I am, it's at a time that I have no access to music.
But when anger and music availability do coincide, I generally listen to very soothing songs. Usually I listen to Celtic Women, but since I've been really enjoying a different song lately, and it fits the sort of music I listen to when I'm mad, I'll post it:
Lothlorien, from the Lord of the Rings musical

Days 13 and 14
Day 13: A Song that is a Guilty Pleasure
This isn't so much a song as a genre. Missa introduced me to it, and I fell in love incredibly quickly. What is it?
Contemporary opera.
Amici Forever is an incredible group, and gave me a new respect for opera music. While I've always been fond of classical, there's something about opera that just requires making fun of. But man, are the people in it amazing despite.
Amici calls themselves "the opera band", and it's a really enjoyable form of opera. I highly recommend them.
Day 14: A Song that No One would expect You to Love
I know I've posted this song before on this blog, but I think it's about all I've got. I'm generally pretty predictable in my music tastes.
Futuristic Romance by Katy Perry
It's very possible that I only love song because someone made a Megamind video to it, but whatever. My music tastes were expanded. P:

Day 12
Day 12: A Song from a Band you Hate
This is a toughie, considering that if I "hate" a band, I keep away from it and so when I'm asked about it, I don't have a clue. I don't really hate any bands; there are simply those I pay attention to, and those I don't.
While I'm sure I could just grab something from a random noisy group that makes noise I dislike, it's hardly hate when I don't know a thing about them.
So I'll just post a song that gets really annoying fast. :D
The Spectrum Song, from Disney (sung by Professor Ludwig von Drake)

Day 11
Day 11: A Song from your Favorite Band
Okay, this'll be the last Groovelily song for a while.
But they are my favorite band. They're pretty much the only band I listen to (unless you count singers as bands, like Martina McBride and Brad Paisley, then... they're one of like, four.)
Well, I guess there is Lonestar, but I'm not sure they're still a band. So they don't count.
Anyway, the song.
Sister Siren
One of my favorites, because I'm a mermaid/siren obsessed girl and so I love this song. XD It's very 90s, but still one of my faves.

Days 9 & 10
Both songs today come from Groovelily's musical Sleeping Beauty Wakes.
Day 9: A Song that You can Dance to
I Dare Say I'm in Love
I dare say I can dance to this one. I do it all the time, lol. When I'm home alone, anyway. I don't ever dance around people because I have a tendency to... injure them.
I'm not that great a dancer. But I love this song.
People with a combination long memory and loyalty (aka have been reading this blog from the start) may remember that I posted this song on my very first grumpy blog to brighten the mood a bit. Because I love this song. :D
Day 10: A Song that makes You Fall Asleep
Ironically, the song for today is:
You Make me Feel Awake
It has a very sleepy feeling to it, despite the title. It's never really made me fall asleep, but... it feels like it could. I don't know of any songs that do make me fall asleep. I don't even listen to music when I'm going to sleep, and my Mom's bouncy Norwegian lullabies (well, I don't think they were lullabies, they were just random songs about a mouse that flew around with an umbrella or something... I don't remember that well) of course never put me to sleep. xD
So this'll have to do. Enjoy.

Day 8 (30 Day Music Challenge)
Day 8: A Song You Know all the Words to
A song I know all the words to... oh gosh. Can I say... every song in Phantom of the Opera, the Lion King, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aida, Rent, Striking 12, Once on this Island, Little Women, all the songs on various albums from my favorite singers, and more? I'm quick to memorize things. Most of the songs I've ever heard, I know the words to them.
So I'll go with a song that I love, and one that many other people likely don't know:
"I Could Write Books" from Zanna Don't!
Unfortunately, the highest-quality (and, as far as I'm concerned, most aesthetically pleasing) run-through available on YouTube doesn't allow embedding, so you'll have to click the link to hear.
This is such an absolutely adorable song, I love it to death. <3 I sing it all the time to Aven, because snakes are pretty much Earth's most mysterious land animal. ;P It doesn't pertain to him much more than that, because obviously he's never forgotten my birthday or picked me up for a date on the wrong day, but "love it seems has a logic that defies all evidence" so it doesn't matter much.

Day 7
Day 7: A Song that Reminds You of a Certain Event
Pomp and Circumstance.
It reminds me of graduation.
It reminds me of playing that horrible, horrible song over and over and over and oh gosh the bad memories. Dx
Luckily, I don't have to play it this year, or ever again.
Posting the song, but do yourself a favor and don't listen. I'm sure you have/will hear it more than enough.

Day 6
Day 6 of the 30 Day Music Challenge.
Updating on time finally. :D
Today's song: A song that reminds you of somewhere.
This one is pretty straight-forward. But has no YouTube video. Just click the link to listen.
Goodbye Virgina - Groovelily
I've never really stayed in Virginia, although Annie Dillard's book Pilgrim at Tinker Creek made it sound like a very nice place to live. XD Mostly what this reminds me of is just being back East, which I love. I hate the humidity, but everything else about it I love. It's so lush and green, and just... ah. I like it. I'll probably never live there, but I'll always have a special place in my heart for the East coast.

Day 4 & 5
Sorry about no update yesterday. Busy Saturday.
Day 4: A Song that makes you Sad
Lær Meg Å Kjenne - Sissel Kyrkjebø
This is just such an incredibly beautiful song. Sorry it's in Norwegian, but that's how it is best, so I wouldn't really want to find it in English. Sissel goes over the story in English before singing the song. It's similar to the story of Job, and it's just a lovely, lovely song.
Day 5: A Song that reminds you of someone
Hahah, couldn't really think of a song for this. Zero to Hero from Disney's Hercules does always remind me of my older sister though. Hercules is her favorite Disney man and just her favorite Disney movie in general. The song kind of applies to my little brother Thomas too, who is becoming a very impressive baseball player, when he used to hate the sport. :D

Day 2 & 3
Well, that downtime sure got this challenge off to a great start. Figures Blogger would break down right when I want to be doing something... and then stay down for hours.
Whatever. It's up again. Day 2 & 3 will just have to be combined. I don't mind, since I don't like Day 2 anyway.
Day 2: Your Least Favorite Song
My least favorite song ever is probably a song I have kept from hearing. Billy Joel's Always a Woman to Me is pretty low on my list though. I didn't really like the song in the first place, although I could tolerate it.
Then my older sister decided to learn it for a piano recital.
It has been pretty-much the only song she's played for the last three years. I am sick and tired of this song. So here it is. I didn't even listen to it, so hopefully the video is good quality.
Day 3: A Song that Makes You Happy
I have a lot of these. Tons and tons and tons. Instead of doing the predictable and giving you a Groovelily song, I'll take one from Martina McBride (which is also probably pretty predictable but whatever): Happy Girl. I'll quality check this one for you because it makes me happy. As you might guess from the name.
Martina McBride never ceases to make me happy. This video's music isn't actually quite top quality (but it's still pretty good), but it has lots of clips of Martina, which adds to my happiness.
Joy ahoy!
See you guys tomorrow with a sadness-inducing song.

Today: My Favorite Song.
That's a toughie. I've got a lot of favorite songs, and a lot of them will work well for other days. So today I'll pick the song that was my favorite when I was in gradeschool, "I'm Already There" by Lonestar.
I still absolutely love this song, and I love how it's used to much as a tribute to our troops. That could be what it was written for originally- the members of Lonestar did join the army, which led to an extra-special version of this song talked-over by their wives and children, like a letter from home. But I've never looked into it, even though I've had the CD with this song for I don't even know how long. It's a very sweet, comforting song, and easy to sing too, which was very important to me when I first learned it, hahah.
Tomorrow? My least favorite song. I'm not really looking forward to that.

I like things like this.
This is one of the reasons I'm really excited to go to BYU. I get to learn about science, particularly evolutionary sciences and theories on the Big Bang and the formation of the universe, in a religious setting.
I love these both. I believe in them both.
This is a good article: Faith in Science and Religion
One of the things that gets my goat up most in life is Creationists. When the subject is brought up, I usually battle to hold my tongue because I know that, although I have plenty of factual evidence, I'll just get snappy and rude to the person. Creationists generally are unwilling to give science any ground, and that frustrates me to no end.
If only they could all have a mood like was mentioned by Dr. Moody. This quote really covers my feelings, ""Scientific discovery delves into what God has done," Moody said. "Science is reasoning in the world around us through the process of discovery and should also lead us to truth."
True religion additionally, Moody said, encompasses all truth, and in that way is greater than science."
Good article.
